Appointment Booking

To ensure your appointment is reserved, we do require  a 25% deposit, which is non-refundable. After booking, you will receive payment details through either text or email for your convenience. We understand sometimes life happens & plans can change, so if you need to modify your service, please let us know at least 48 hours beforehand to avoid any fees. If you decide to opt for a service of lesser value on the day of your appointment, a charge of 50% of the initial total, in addition to the cost of the new service, will apply. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Rescheduling & Cancellations

If you need to reschedule, cancel, or adjust your appointment, we kindly ask you to let us  know at least 48 hours in advance. Timely notice helps us to continue offering great service to all our valued clients. If notice isn't provided, you may lose your deposit, and we will require full payment in advance for your next appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may not be able to provide the full service, and a new deposit might be.

Same Day Cancelation Policy: We understand that plans can change, but for cancellations made on the day of your scheduled service, a fee of 50% of the service cost will be applied.

Deposits & Payment Fees

When using your card through our app terminal, a "Payment Processing Fee" of insert processing fee percentage will be applied. This fee covers the expenses related to our online booking, deposit management, and appointment scheduling services. While deposits are non-refundable, they can be transferred once to a new date within a 30-month grace period from the original appointment date, as long as we receive a 48-hour notice & a valid reason for rescheduling. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to serving you!

Satisfaction + Refunds

Your happiness is very important to us! If you're not completely satisfied with your hair, please reach out to us within 7 days of your appointment. We’ll do our best to make any necessary adjustments within our control. Please be aware that additional fees might apply for changes on discounted services. Due to the nature of our work, we do not offer refunds, and all product purchases are considered final sale. Thank you for your understanding and allowing us to serve you!

Photo Release

We seek your permission to use photographs in any of the following: web-based publications and promotions for Doll Me Up Hair & Makeup Services, as well as for individual promotion by the makeup artist or hairstylist. Please note that this release does not involve any form of compensation, including royalties from the photographs, to your benefit.

Once photographs are in our possession, they become our property. However, we ensure that their use and publication will respect your rights as the subject of these photographs.

By granting this permission, you waive your right to inspect or approve the photographs in which your likeness appears. You also agree to hold us harmless and release us from any claims, demands, and causes of action that you or your representatives might have due to this authorization. We may use "before," "during," and "after" appointment photographs for educational, promotional, or advertising purposes.Please confirm that you are of legal age or, if under legal age, that a parent or guardian has provided the necessary consent. Thank you for helping us share the beauty of our work!

Health & Safety

Chemical services:

I understand that using lighteners, colors, or other chemicals on my hair will physically alter its condition. This may, though not always, result in changes to its texture and shine. I confirm that I have disclosed my full hair coloring history to my stylist to the best of my knowledge. I consent to undergo the treatment and commit to following all provided pre- and post-treatment instructions. I affirm that I have answered all questions truthfully and to the best of my ability.

Sanitation:

I acknowledge that all tools, brushes, and makeup products are maintained in a sanitary condition and are sanitized between each application. Clients are encouraged to inform the stylists or artists of any allergies or skin/scalp conditions prior to the application. Clients agree to release the stylists, makeup artists, Doll Me Up Makeup & Hair, and its owners, contractors, and employees from any liability for skin complications arising from reactions, injuries, or current or future conditions resulting from the procedures or products used.

Allergies & Illnesses:

I hereby declare that I have made my service provider aware of any health conditions & allergies prior to the appointment at the time of booking. I agree to release the stylists/makeup artists, Doll Me Up Hair & Makeup Services, its owners, and all employees from liability for any physical reactions that may be caused due to non-disclosureBy signing this client questionnaire, I certify that I have read and fully understand the contents of this consent form, and that the information I have provided is complete, accurate, and current to the best of my knowledge.

Pregnancy & Postpartum

I declare that I have informed my stylist that I am pregnant or breastfeeding, if applicable. I willingly consent to receiving these services at my own risk and acknowledge that I have been advised of any potential concerns related to these treatments during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How to prepare for your appointment?

For any services you have booked with us, please be sure to have as many inspiration pictures that you may like! This will help us better understand what you’re envisioning.‍

Please also ensure the following:

Come with clean, dry, knot free hair

Avoid wearing bulky hoodies & expensive clothing

Avoid wearing big hoops and earrings

You may bring a change of clothes if you’re going out after or want to be filmed/photographed after.

Wearing black is encouraged

For long lightening and colour appointments

Pick your favourite Netflix Shows to binge

Pack a lunch.

Light snacks ad refreshments are provided.

Only applies to very curly or wavy hair.

Lightly Blowdry and straighten your hair to remove excess frizz

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Email Money Transfers & Cash. If you wish to pay Debit or Credit (Visa/Mastercard), a CAD 3% payment processing fee will apply.

Client satisfaction

For all services: Services will be completed to client's satisfaction, however no refunds will be issued. Non-payment is not an option as ample time and communication is given for each service prior to and during booking.

For Colour & Cuts: If you weren't satisfied with your results, we are happy to work with you to adjust the area of concern within the 14 day grace period. Please reach out to us via email outlining exactly what the issues are.

How do I prep my space if the MUA or Hairstylist is  providing services at my location?

Although our artists come with pretty much everything you need, there are certain things we need from you as well in order to provide services. ‍

a) A “set up” table/work area with sufficient surface area needs to be made available for the stylist/artist at said location. If this may not be available to you, please let us know so we can bring our folding table to the location.

b) Mirrors for hair stylists. Walmart has a great long/lightweight  mirror for $20.

c) Ample lighting – natural or fixtures for services to be performed thoroughly.

d) Barchair for makeup applications and low backrest chairs for hair styling. If you don’t have a bar chair, please let us know in advance so we can bring ours.

e) Working Outlets.f) Work Area is to be free of distractions for productivity of stylists/artists.

What happens if I changed my mind and want a completely different style after the service?

We understand this can happen sometimes however, a thorough discussion takes place prior to the service. Any changes made mid way or after service is complete will be subject to a surcharge and performed only if time permits.

How to prepare for your appointment?

For any services you have booked with us, please be sure to have many inspiration pictures that you may like! This will help us better understand what you’re envisioning.‍

Colour Services: You can wash your hair two or three days prior to your appointment, however it is recommended to avoid applying any hair products in your hair (ex, hairspray, oils, etc). For you babes with with natural curly hair, please come with your hair straightened.‍

Haircuts: please arrive at your appointment with hair brushed well. If you have booked just a cut (no wash or style), please have your hair washed max. a day in advance. If you’ve wash+cut+style, we will give you a thorough cleanse of your scalp and a nourishing conditioning treatment.‍

Makeup: Please use an exfoliating scrub to wash your face prior to your appointment. Apply an oil free moisturizer & a hydrating lip balm/chapstick. Please avoid products with SPF.‍

Hair-dos: For very silky/straight hair, we ask that you shampoo your hair a day or two before the appointment. Use a volumizing shampoo & skip using conditioner.For wavy, curly & frizzy hair, please shampoo your hair 2-3 days before your appointment with a moisturizing shampoo and apply a moisture rich conditioner/mask mid-strand to ends. Please have your hair blow dried straight and do not use any other hair products. Do not use hot tools such as a flat iron.
